Big Power of Small Business

In partnership with Main Street Alliance, a group committed to cultivating collective power within the small business community, we set out to ensure their voices are recognized by those in positions of influence.

The Challenge:

A lack of narratives highlighting the diverse voices within the MSA membership and a pressing need to foster a stronger sense of community among members.

We created this series of short vignettes to uplift the voices of authentic small business owners and provide a platform for their stories and experiences with the goal of offering elected officials a fresh perspective on small business matters, particularly those centered around workers. Beyond influencing policymakers, our series aimed to foster a sense of community among Main Street Alliance members and encourages broader participation to strengthen the collective power in shaping policy and discourse.

Small business owners employ 50% of Americans. We are the biggest employer in the United States.

Our Solution:
Craft narratives that elevate the lived experiences and values of authentic small business owners, reshaping public narratives to center around policies that prioritize and empower workers.

We often hear from business owners how isolating that experience can be — and that it frequently feels like you are the fight alone. So we’re proud to see our content used across the MSA digital platforms to highlight the collective values of these small businesses and create a tight-knit community among Main Street Alliance members, while inspiring more people to join in.
